International games training at our Club

On Sunday October 10th, in lovely sunny weather,  our Club was very pleased to host the selection and training session for the junior games tennis squad to represent Lancaster at the International Games at Almere in the Netherlands in summer 2022 .    This was organised by former member Gunnar Jendis and the Games co-ordinator was Chris Haggan.

We were very pleased to welcome back former junior members Tomas and Janko Grimes, both of whom are now members of the Lancashire junior squad.  And they were joined by our Club member Chloe Parkinson, Katie Wiggins from Bowerham and Lunesdale Tennis Club member Matthew Bebbington.   Gunnar’s son Kjell , also a former junior member, joined the training session but will only qualify for the team, by age, in summer 2023 when the games will be back in Lancaster.
