Junior Members

As Community Club of the Year 2017 we are committed to extending tennis playing opportunities to juniors from around the area.

We have a very active programme of tennis activities for our junior members – coaching (now delivered by Michael Cartmell and his team at the Cartmell Academy) , tournaments, summer camps and League teams. We have members from all over the area.

We are also committed to links with local schools including Willow Lane Primary School & Steiner School as well as the nearby Marsh Community Centre. We recognise the value of tennis as offering young people the chance to take exercise, develop skills and social confidence, take part in a competitive activity and make friends.

General Info

The coaching team is fully DBS checked and all coaches have completed First Aid and other relevant courses, as has the Club Welfare Officer Annabel Orr – Tel: 01524 842 890 or 07545 314 750 or by Email [email protected].

The Club’s junior teams have been successful since they were first entered in the Fylde and Aegon leagues in 2014. The best season was summer 2016 when the U17 Boys A team won the Fylde Division 1 and the U17 Boys B team came top of Division 2. Since then our Girls team has won the Fylde U17 league most years and the other teams have also won their leagues every year except 2022. From 2021 we also have teams in the Ribble League to give our juniors even more opportunities to play competitive matches.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR TEAMS & thank you to all the parents for their support – and for more information on our junior teams see here.

They are the same quality, including the logo of Lancaster Cricket and Sports Club as well as our own Lancaster Tennis Club logo and still offer the option of having your name printed on the back, for a small additional charge. And, for the first time a full kit option is available.

Book A Court

All members need to book courts in advance to ensure guidelines are being followed and all our members are kept safe whilst playing.
