It’s official now that the winter league season is finally over – our Eagles team has WON Division One and our Falcons team was very narrowly beaten into fourth place also in Division One in the 2021/22 Winter Vets league.
After 18 matches and a long season running from October 2021 to late April 2022, our A team – the Lancaster Eagles captained by Derek Metcalfe – have won Division One very comfortably. And the B team – the Lancaster Falcons captained by Andre Coltman – were not far behind in Division One, being very narrowly squeezed into 4th position by Windermere.
These are fantastic victories – and well done to both teams and all the players.
The regular players throughout the winter were Sandra Eccles, Dave Clark, Chris Milburn, Californian Dave, Mark Braithwaite, Danny Welbourne, Steve Garland in addition to Derek and Andre. And Maxine Norman, Kathy Byra and Susan Lucas played in some of the matches.
