The Club’s stall in Market Square was great fun today, April 1st, with a large number of members available to meet and advise locals about the Club. It didn’t rain and the stall was in a good position outside the City Museum, so quite a large number of passers by were attracted to hear about our Club.
Balloons were given to youngsters and Pickleball was demonstrated by Sharon Philip and others, with quite a few others joining in.
New Club coach Michael Cartmell brought an outsize tennis racquet which also attracted a lot of attention and there was a great atmosphere.
It is hoped that a number of those who were given advice and information will come to the Club to play or attend the 29th Open Day.
Thanks very much to all the helpers – Fang Liu, Kathy Byra, Pamela Carillo, Evelyn and David Kay, Sharon Philip, Mary Rosenberg, Sandra Eccles and Steve Garland – who supported coach Michael Cartmell and organiser Susan Lucas.
