Indoor Pickleball
Indoor play is available throughout the year. We have a regular popular 1-hour session at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre on Tuesdays at 8pm (where we can now store the Club’s nets and paddles), and also on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9pm at the Morecambe Bay Academy . These sessions are organised through SPOND groups. BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT BECAUSE OF STRONG INTEREST IN PLAYING INDOOR PICKLEBALL, AT PRESENT THERE IS A WAITING LIST TO JOIN THE GROUPS.
After joining 3 sessions indoors we expect players to become Club members – see here for information on Pickleball membership charges. AND there are really low membership fees for winter only members to play indoors, October to March .

Venue Info
The charge at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre is now £4 per session and at Morecambe Bay Academy it’s £5.50 for both Club members and non-members. A SPOND booking and payment system is now used for all groups.
These sessions are primarily for adults, however young adults aged 13 – 17 years are welcome if accompanied by an adult e.g. family member/person responsible for them.
Further Info
Club members can also join informal indoor sessions in the Sports Hall at the University of Cumbria throughout the year usually held on Sundays. These are not Tennis Club sessions and are organised informally through a separate WhatsApp group. Charge per hour for players who are not members of the University’s Sports Centre is £4 per person .
