Enjoyable round robin event

Thank you for everyone who came to the Club’s round robin event on Sunday July 11th – Wimbledon Men’s singles finals day.

And thanks for your understanding about the BBQ problems! I hope this didn’t spoil the day for anyone.

Some very good matches were played in a good spirit and in unexpectedly nice weather too.  Well done to semi finalists Roan Briffett & Adina Yelekenova and also David Kay & Chris Milburn, but the finalists after two very good matches were Matthew Cross & Helen Kearns against Californian David W Robinson – one of three Davids – & new member Fang Liu.

After some very good games and rallies, Matt & Helen emerged the winners 6-2. Very well done to them and to the runners up.
