Well done to Club coach Michael Cartmell for being appointed as the first Para-Standing Tennis HUB site in the UK. For this he has received a £500 grant from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to set up regular coaching sessions and camps.
Para standing tennis is a form of tennis adapted for individuals with physical disabilities who play while standing, rather than in a wheelchair. It is an inclusive format for people with a range of physical impairments, such as limb loss, limb deficiencies, cerebral palsy, or acquired brain injuries.
The sport is growing in popularity, with opportunities to play, compete, and connect with a supportive community and it is great that this opportunity is now available at our Club.
