GOOD NEWS – our Club has been awarded £300 for a junior development programme by the Lancashire Tennis Junior Development Trust.
The Club’s coaching team – Cartmell Academy (Lead coach Michael Cartmell) – is already working successfully with local primary school, Willow Lane Primary School
He would like to increase the range of coaching sessions made available to the juniors at this school but would like to reduce the cost of the sessions to make them more accessible. So the sum applied for will now cover the cost of the proposed summer coaching programme:
The Club will waive the normal cost of court hire as its contribution to the cost of delivering the sessions and the Coach will provide the necessary racquets free of charge.
