Indoor Pickleball
Indoor play has become very popular during the winter and carries on throughout the year. We have a regular popular 1-hour session at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre on Tuesdays at 8pm (where we can now store the Club’s nets and paddles), and from April also at Lancaster Boys Grammar School on Thursday evenings. After joining 3 sessions indoors we expect players to become Club members – see here for information on Pickleball membership charges.
There are lower membership fees for those who only want to play indoors and lower still if you only want to play in the winter (October to end of March) OR in the summer (April to end of August) when the membership fee can also include outside play –– again see here for all the details and membership application forms.

The charge at Salt Ayre is still £3.50 per session and LRGS it’s £5.50 for both Club members and non-members. A new SPOND booking and payment system has recently been introduced.
These sessions are primarily for adults, however young adults aged 13 – 17 years are welcome if accompanied by an adult e.g. family member/person responsible for them.
Further Info
Club members can also join informal indoor sessions in the Sports Hall at the University of Cumbria throughout the year usually held on Sundays. These are not Tennis Club sessions and are organised informally through a separate WhatsApp group. Charge per hour is £3.50 per person.
