Successful Open Day

The weather wasn’t perfect for the Club Open Day on Saturday April 23rd, but it was sunny and not too chilly.  We were delighted to welcome over 40 people to the Club including at least 25 juniors, from as young as 3!

Michaela and Eden Parkinson were kept busy devising fun routines for the youngsters, most of whom hadn’t held a tennis racquet before, whilst Club members knocked up with the adults on Court 3 in breezy conditions.  Junior members Isaac Quayle and Jonny Eastham were on hand to help with the younger players and this was much appreciated.

With the clubhouse decorated with balloons and sunshine on the decking, there was a very nice, relaxed atmosphere which everyone enjoyed.  Thanks a lot to all the Club members who helped the organiser Susan Lucas and who spent the afternoon meeting people and making them feel welcome.
