Thanks to stand helpers

The Club was represented at the Lancaster Health and Wellness Fair in Dalton Square on Saturday July 12th, one of the hottest days of the year!  In the morning the helpers were shaded by a big umbrella, and fortunately in the afternoon the trees provided more shade – thank goodness.

The Club volunteer helpers who gave up time to advise potential members were Helen Edmead, Rose Parker, Kathy Byra and Rod Kay in the morning and in the afternoon we were all really pleased that Mary Rosenberg could join in.   Mary has had a rough time health wise for the last few months and her help was much appreciated.  We also appreciated the help and support of Matt Parker, a former Club member, whose stall was next to our.

Thanks very much to all these helpers as well as to  the Club’s Pickleball organiser Sharon Phillips who organised fun Pickleball sessions on the grass which a number of youngsters really enjoyed.   We would have liked to have seen more people, but the small number who stopped by our stand were very enthusiastic,
