Through Active Lancashire an evening First Aid course was held on Tuesday July 25th in the bar of Lancaster Cricket & Sports Club.   In the end only eight Club members attended –  Helen Edmead, Diane Fisher, Barbara Glover,  Fang Liu, Evelyn and David Kay, Scott Wilson along with Club organiser Susan Lucas.

Tutor Jayne Wilson did a great job in introducing everyone to CPR and use of the defibrillator so members could learn how to use the type installed in the Club,  She also covered concussion, choking, wounds, sprains, fractures etc and also suggested what particular items we should have in our First Aid kit.  All delivered with models and special kit.

One thing most of us learned, is that you can dial 112 to call an ambulance direct rather than 999 which is for all emergency services!

Thanks very much Abi Woodcock – Active Lancashire admin – and Jayne for a really useful course.
