Very successful Open Day

On a gloriously sunny morning, the Club’s annual Tennis and Pickleball Open Day was a great success  Large numbers of youngsters and some adults came to the Club on Sunday April 19th to try out our tennis courts, meet our coaches and our friendly Club members.  And there was also a good turnout of people interested in trying out Pickleball on our outside court.

Thank you especially to Club coach Michael Cartmell of Cartmell Academy who did a lot of the organising and managed the assistants Harry Dingle and Peter Nickson, making the try tennis session so enjoyable for the juniors.

Thank you also to Pickleball organisers Diane Riach and Sharon Phillips who were pleased to share their enthusiasm for the game with those who attended.  And it was great to see so many Club members at the Club meeting and greeting and advising those who turned up.  Many thanks to them.
