Bernd is Champion again

On the afternoon of Tuesday September 9th, the final of the Men’s Singles Tournament was held between last year’s champion Bernd Schulze and much improved player Rod Kay, fortunately in decent weather.

It was a very entertaining final with some fantastic shots from both players.  The spectators and local Club members – Mary Rosenberg,  Sandra Eccles, Evelyn &David Kay and David Novell along with Bernd’s wife Krishna and his young children – really enjoyed watching the match.

In the end Bernd was the winner 6-2, 6-2, retaining the Singles shield for another year.
