Successful summer league season

The Club has come to the end of its 2024 summer match season and is celebrating some very good results and league positions.

These are the latest league places –

Kendal League
Men’s 1^st team (captain Simon Hicks) – Division 1 – 4^th having been recently promoted to this tough league
Men’s 2^nd team (captain Steve Garland) – Division 3 – 5th
Mixed team – Division 2 (captain Derek Metcalfe)– Won the Division and Promoted to Division 1.

Lancaster & District League
Ladies team (captain Maxine Clark) – Won the League
Mixed team (captain Dave Clark) – 1^st or 2^nd place – one crucial match is still to be played between Burton and Bowerham

AND the Lancaster Mixed team won the handicapped Geoff Seed knock out tournament beating Bowerham in the semi final and Arnside in the final.

Fylde League
Men’s team (captain Andre Coltman) – Division 6 – 4th

In addition, the two Lancaster teams – Eagles (captain Derek Metcalfe) and Falcons (captain Dave Clark) – shared 1^st place in the Winter Vets League Division 1 which lingered on into the summer season because of weather affected re-arranged matches.  There were very closely fought matches in this enjoyable league.
